The Humidity Sensor Switch with PIR Motion Sensor provides automatic ventilation and lighting control for bathrooms, laundry rooms, and other humidity-prone spaces. Combining humidity sensing with Passive Infrared (PIR) motion detection, this dual-control switch independently operates an exhaust fan based on moisture levels and lighting based on detected movement.
Featuring three selectable humidity settings of Low, Medium, and High, within a 45%–80% relative humidity (RH) range, the switch allows users to adjust its sensitivity to suit their ventilation needs. These settings are designed to support the humidity-control requirements of California's CALGreen building standards when used in an appropriately configured bathroom ventilation system. The fan operates in 20-minute cycles, with automatic cycling during extended periods of high humidity, helping reduce moisture buildup and conditions that contribute to mold and mildew growth.
The integrated PIR motion sensor provides hands-free lighting control by automatically turning the lights ON when movement is detected and OFF after the selected time delay when no further motion is detected. With adjustable time-delay settings ranging from 5 to 30 minutes, the lighting control can be customized to suit different room activities and preferences.
Separate manual ON/OFF buttons allow users to control the exhaust fan and lighting independently when desired. Rated for fan loads up to 3 A, this single-pole switch operates at 120 VAC, 60 Hz and requires a neutral wire for installation.
By combining humidity-responsive ventilation with motion-activated lighting, the Humidity Sensor Switch with PIR Motion Sensor provides a convenient alternative to traditional manual switches, helping manage excess moisture while reducing unnecessary lighting operation.
